EFCC Arrests Kannywood Actress Samha Inuwa Over Alleged Naira Mutilation
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Kannywood actress Samha Inuwa over alleged mutilation of the Naira.
The arrest was carried out by the Kano Zonal Directorate of the Commission on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, following a viral video that circulated on social media showing the actress using Naira notes to clean mucus from her nose.
According to a statement issued by the EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, the Commission immediately commenced investigations after the video surfaced, traced the suspect and effected her arrest.
Inuwa is currently in the custody of the EFCC, where investigations are ongoing. She will be charged to court upon the conclusion of the investigation.
