Ethiope East PDP Passes Vote of Confidence on Turaki-Led NEC, Declares Party a Formidable Force

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State has passed a resounding vote of confidence on the Turaki-led National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party, reaffirming its loyalty and commitment to the party’s leadership and ideals.

The resolution was reached during a well-attended end-of-year strategic stakeholders’ meeting held at the Abraka residence of a frontline party leader, Dr. Tony Ajaino. The meeting brought together key stakeholders, party elders, and leaders from across the eleven wards of the local government area.

Speaking during the gathering, Dr. Ajaino described the PDP as a resilient political institution that remains strong and relevant despite internal challenges. He emphasized that the party, even in the face of what he termed the “Wike-inflicted infirmity,” remains a formidable political force capable of reclaiming and sustaining its dominance.

“PDP remains a party to be reckoned with. Our strength lies in our unity, resilience, and commitment to the ideals that bind us together. We must remain focused and steadfast as the party continues its process of reinvention,” Dr. Ajaino stated.

He further urged party faithful to remain loyal, disciplined, and united, stressing that the future of the PDP depends largely on the collective efforts of its grassroots supporters and leaders alike.

Dr. Ajaino also congratulated an illustrious son of Ethiope East, Pharmacist Victor Ofobukueta, on his appointment as a member of the Delta State PDP Transition Committee, describing the appointment as well-deserved and a reflection of his dedication and service to the party.

The meeting was graced by notable party leaders, including the Acting Chairman of the PDP in Ethiope East LGA, Mr. Henry Ogboru; former Leader of the Ethiope East Legislative Arm, Rt. Hon. Andrew Akpomudjere; Mr. Festus Egede Nwachukwu; Mr. Godstime Oboyairuvwe; Dr. Innocent Orhonigbe; Dcn. Ovie Emuobosa, among several other stakeholders drawn from the eleven wards of the local government.

In his welcome address, the Acting Chairman, Mr. Henry Ogboru, expressed profound appreciation to party members for their unwavering loyalty and sacrifices in sustaining the PDP at all levels. He commended stakeholders for keeping the party’s structure alive and active despite political challenges.

Goodwill messages were also delivered by representatives from the eleven wards, all reaffirming their commitment to the unity, growth, and electoral success of the party in Ethiope East and beyond.

The meeting ended on a note of renewed hope, solidarity, and collective determination to reposition the PDP as a dominant political force ahead of future political engagements.
