Dr. Tony Ajaino Urges Youths to Embrace Entrepreneurship, Announces Resignation as Special Assistant to the Governor
In a strategic and thought-provoking gathering held today in Oruarivie, Abraka, renowned community leader and youth advocate, Dr. Tony Ajaino, convened youths and key stakeholders to deliberate on the future of youth engagement, leadership, and sustainable development within the community.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Ajaino passionately advised young people to stop viewing politics as a full-time occupation, stressing that politics should be a platform for service and influence rather than a means of survival.
He cautioned that excessive dependence on politics weakens creativity, limits personal growth, and exposes young people to unnecessary manipulation.
He urged youths to embrace entrepreneurship, skills acquisition, innovation, and legitimate enterprise, emphasizing that economic independence remains the strongest foundation for dignity, relevance, and long-term success.
“Politics should never replace your hustle; it should only complement your value. Any youth who depends solely on politics for survival is placing his future in danger,” he stated.
Dr. Ajaino further encouraged young people to invest deliberately in self-development, learn profitable skills, and explore opportunities within and beyond Abraka.
According to him, political relevance is temporary, but skills, integrity, knowledge, and character endure for a lifetime.
Speaking on unity and healthy engagement, he emphasized that criticism should not be mistaken for hatred or personal attack.
He explained that constructive criticism is a tool for growth and accountability, not an instrument of division.
“We must understand that disagreement does not make us enemies. Brothers in different political affiliations are still brothers. Politics should never destroy relationships, unity, or our collective progress as a people,” he said.
Dr. Ajaino encouraged youths to rise above political bitterness, tolerate opposing views, and focus on ideas that promote peace, development, and mutual respect within the community.
In a major highlight of the gathering, Hon. Dr. Tony Ajaino officially announced his resignation as Special Assistant to the Governor, noting that the decision was taken in good faith and in alignment with his personal principles and long-term vision for grassroots development.
He reassured the gathering that his commitment to the growth of Abraka and the empowerment of its youths remains unwavering, even outside the corridors of government.
Concluding his address, he called on youths to shun violence, entitlement mentality, and political dependency, urging them instead to embrace discipline, excellence, hard work, and purpose-driven living.
