Stephen Obote Throws Weight Behind Ibani Ahead Of 2027 Election
A youth leader in Otorho, Abraka, Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State, Stephen Aaron Obote, has declared his support for Hon. Felix Ejovwoke Erhimedafe, popularly known as Ibani, ahead of the 2027 Delta State House of Assembly election.
Obote, in a statement outlining his political position, said his support for Ibani was informed by his conviction that effective representation must be built on accountability, transparency, commitment to the people and a genuine desire to promote community development.
He stressed that Otorho and Abraka deserved representation that would prioritise the interests of the people, address their concerns and ensure that the community received adequate attention in the distribution of development projects and democratic dividends.
According to him, the people need a representative who would listen to their yearnings, speak up for their interests and work diligently to advance their collective aspirations at the Delta State House of Assembly.
The Otorho youth leader maintained that leadership should not be judged solely by campaign promises, but by the willingness of elected representatives to remain accountable to the people and demonstrate commitment to their welfare.
He noted that as political activities gather momentum ahead of the 2027 elections, the future of Otorho and Abraka should remain central to discussions about leadership and representation.
Obote also called for responsible leadership, unity and a shared commitment to the overall progress of the community, emphasising that the people’s interests must take precedence over personal and political considerations.
Declaring his support for Ibani, he expressed optimism about the prospects of having representation that would give adequate attention to the needs and aspirations of the people.
“Otorho’s future matters. Our voices matter. Accountability matters,” Obote stated, reaffirming his position ahead of the forthcoming election.
His declaration adds to the political conversations surrounding the 2027 Delta State House of Assembly race in Abraka, where issues of grassroots development, accountability and effective representation are expected to feature prominently in the contest.
