- Hon. Noble Council Ogboru, councillor representing DSIEC Ward 2, Abraka, in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State, has empowered 230 constituents under the ongoing Councillors’ Empowerment Programme across the state.
The intervention, which is aimed at strengthening livelihoods and supporting residents at the grassroots, provides financial assistance to beneficiaries to enable them to support their businesses, families and other economic activities.
Ogboru, popularly known as “Council-In-Council,” said the initiative was part of his commitment to people-centred representation and ensuring that government interventions have a direct impact on residents within his ward.
He expressed appreciation to the people of DSIEC Ward 2 for their continued trust, support and confidence in his leadership, assuring them of his continued accessibility and responsiveness to their needs.
The councillor also acknowledged the leadership and support of the Executive Chairman of Ethiope East Local Government Council, as well as the efforts of the Delta State Government in bringing empowerment and financial assistance programmes closer to residents across the state.
According to him, the empowerment is not only about financial assistance but also about creating opportunities for constituents to improve their livelihoods and contribute more meaningfully to the socio-economic development of their families and communities.
The initiative is expected to provide relief and economic support to the 230 beneficiaries while reinforcing the role of grassroots representation in delivering government programmes to local communities.
The empowerment programme further underscores Ogboru’s stated commitment to grassroots development and effective representation of DSIEC Ward 2 in the Ethiope East Local Government Legislative Arm.
