Transcorp Hilton Abuja has successfully conducted its first-quarter unannounced fire drill simulation as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen safety standards and enhance emergency preparedness within the facility.

The exercise, held on Wednesday, February 19, 2026, was carried out in collaboration with the Federal Fire Service. The simulation forms part of the hotel’s structured safety programme designed to ensure swift emergency response, operational efficiency, and seamless coordination with relevant authorities in the event of a real-life incident.

Management of the hotel described the drill as a proactive measure reflecting its unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of guests and team members.

“We successfully carried out our Q1 unannounced fire drill simulation with the support of the Nigeria Fire Service. This exercise forms part of our structured safety programme, designed to ensure a high level of emergency preparedness and effective coordination with relevant authorities,” the management stated.

The fire drill comes shortly after the hotel hosted a well-attended Valentine’s Day weekend promotion across its rooms and restaurants. The celebration featured themed experiences, entertainment, and hospitality offerings that attracted significant guest participation.

With preparations underway for the Holy Month of Ramadan, the hotel has reassured guests of its continued dedication to providing a safe, serene, and memorable stay.

Management also expressed appreciation to guests for their understanding during the drill and apologised for any temporary inconvenience the exercise may have caused.

The initiative further positions Transcorp Hilton Abuja as one of the leading hospitality establishments in Nigeria prioritising safety, operational excellence, and guest satisfaction.
