The Federal Ministry of Youth Development has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Stratcomm Consulting to strengthen youth empowerment initiatives and deepen research-driven policy development across the country.

The agreement, signed in Abuja, marks a significant step toward enhancing strategic communication, institutional capacity, and data-driven decision-making in youth-focused programmes.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Minister of Youth Development, Comrade Ayodele Olawande, said the partnership goes beyond climate-related interventions and reflects a broader commitment to innovative and sustainable youth development strategies.

Represented by the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Maryam Keshinro, the Minister stated that effective communication remains critical to the success, visibility, and long-term impact of government initiatives. He noted that the collaboration aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which promotes public-private partnerships and inter-ministerial cooperation as drivers of national development.

“The Ministry remains resolute in fostering strategic partnerships that empower Nigerian youths, promote innovation, and advance sustainable socio-economic growth,” he said, adding that the MoU would enhance youth-led initiatives and evidence-based engagement.

Director of the Youth Migration & Climate Action Resilience Department, Oyekan Adeoloyin, explained that the department was created to address growing challenges related to youth mobility, economic migration, and environmental sustainability. He emphasized the need for coordinated action across ministries, sectors, and development partners to strengthen migration governance and climate resilience.

In his remarks, Managing Director of Stratcomm Consulting, Dr. Kayode Olanorin, described the partnership as timely and strategic, commending the Ministry’s innovative communication approach to sustaining youth engagement.

The MoU underscores the Federal Government’s commitment to empowering young Nigerians through innovation, collaboration, and sustainable development initiatives.
